Philanthropy

Part of the object of Kappa Delta is the furtherance of charitable and benevolent purposes. Nationally, Kappa Delta supports four different philanthropies. Its fundraising efforts contribute to Prevent Child Abuse America, and its hands on community service efforts focus on Girl Scouts of the USA. Additionally, Kappa Delta supports two of its historical philanthropies – the Children’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, and the Kappa Delta Orthopedic Research Awards.

 

Nationally, Kappa Delta hosts over 700 Girl Scout events and serves over 325,000 hours to Kappa Delta philanthropies each year. It has also raised $10.6 million for the prevention of child abuse, $1.5 million for the Children’s Hospital in Richmond, and $1.7 million for orthopedic research.
