Kappa Delta is committed to inspiring each and every member to lead a values-based life and become a woman of greatness. The principles and ideals upon which our organization was founded are ingrained in everything we do as a sorority, and our members and chapter programs and initiatives reflect these values every day.

Birmingham-Southern College is home to the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Kappa Delta founded in 1930. Kappa Delta is an impressive nationwide organization that reaches far behind our local chapter. It is a national organization of more than 230,000 initiated members, 156 active collegiate chapters across the country and more than 500 chartered alumnae chapters nationwide. It is a network of sisters and friends around the world who come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

We have chosen to become Kappa Deltas because we believe that, in some way, all of us can be better together than each of us can be alone. That is the strength of Kappa Delta nationally. Alpha Upsilon embraces each of its unique members, uniting to create a one of a kind chapter. Each member contributes to the sorority in her own special way.
